Special Services for Home Inspectors in NJ

The following special services are available for NJ Home Inspectors:
  1. Charcoal canister pickups are available for the entire state of New Jersey.
    Under New Jersey regulations, if you place a Radon test kit as part of your Home Inspection, you are obliged to retrieve the canister yourself, or to hire someone with a valid NJ Radon license to do it for you. It is illegal to have either the homeowner or a realtor (or any unlicensed person) do it for you. You need a NJ license to place the test, and you or another licensed person must retrieve it and get it to the lab for analysis.

  2. Weekend lab processing at no extra charge.
    Our lab is officially open 5 days a week, but sometimes you may need a rush analysis done in the face of an imminent real estate closing.

    We offer overtime lab service on your request at no surcharge to you. Whether you use our canister pickup or not, you can arrange with us for weekend or night service. If it’s by our pickup service, be sure we are told of the urgency. It it is coming to us via an overnight carrier, you have to pay the incoming special charges.

    Here’s what you have to do:

    1. Notify us in advance. At least 24 hours, if possible.
    2. Give us the exact delivery data. If it’s via an overnight carrier, give us the waybill or tracking number.

    We will process the test kit immediately when it arrives, and you will receive a phoned or faxed or e-mailed reply.

  3. Reporting by E-Mail.
    Many of our dealers have asked us for reply by e-mail instead of Fax. We are now able to do that. If you want this service, please call our office and make the request official. Or, you can e-mail us at RadonInfo@radon-test.com.
